Country Roads magazine invites the writers of Louisiana and Mississippi
to submit short works for consideration in our Summer “Regional Writings” Issue.

Original, unpublished works of less than 2,500 words
will be accepted in the following categories:

Fiction - Humor - Travel - Cuisine
And as much Haiku as we can handle!

Winning entries will be published in Country Roads’ June, 2009 “Regional Writings” issue.
(Winners in fiction, humor, travel and cuisine categories will be paid, too.)
Authors will also be invited to present their work at the 2009 Louisiana Book Festival.

Include the words "Submission: Country Roads Regional Writers Competition" in the subject line,
and indicate which category you are submitting to.

All final decisions regarding selection of articles for publication will rest with the editorial staff of Country Roads magazine.
Winning submissions will be published in the June, 2009, issue of Country Roads, and online at http://www.countryroadsmag.com.
There will be a payment of $200 to the winner in each of the Fiction, Humor, Travel, and Cuisine categories.
