When we have featured paintings by this artist in the past, we have identified him as “the Folsom, Louisiana, artist...” Since September, 2006, though, a relocation compels us to adjust that to read, “the Natchez, Mississippi, artist, Rolland Golden.” This scene actually came from Virginia, where the nationally-recognized artist encountered a stand of wildflowers along Skyline Drive and was compelled to stop awhile. In Natchez, Golden is applying himself to a series of paintings depicting aspects of Katrina’s aftermath. See more at www.rollandgolden.com
