Oil paintings by John Darling Haynes focus on “taking things we don’t focus much on and making them immortal,” says the artist. “My painting is inspired by the visuals of my life journeys as well as my imagination of the mundane. I find it a privilege to wander into forgotten places of daily routine and rearrange the furniture.” Sunday Blues, Morning Whites and other exteriors by Haynes take inspiration from laundry lines the artist photographed while traveling from Minnesota to Louisiana.
