“My work reflects my constant search and excitement in finding new people and places, discovering new interactions of the human form and its environments,” says Louisiana, artist Catherine Mayer, who created the composition of colorful characters on this Country Roads cover.

For the work on the cover, she began with photographs of people who appear in this issue and worked to capture their individuality. “This piece was such fun, to capture the unique feeling of Louisiana — it’s energy and movement and great sense of personality,” she said.
